We can arrange bicycle tours from Mloka to the Rufiji River or along forest tracks in search of the black & white colobus monkey!

If you’d rather walk than cycle then we can organise a guarded walk down to the river or on any forest track to see birds, monkeys and maybe elephants.
We can arrange walking, or bicycle tours, to local villages to get closer to the local people and their culture, including visiting a maasai boma.
Lodge Facilities
With a ramp up into the lodge and handrails on the walls in the toilets our lodge is fully navigable for disabled persons.
All 10 rooms have an en-suite bathroom with hot & cold running water, showers and toilet. Each room also has air conditioning & a ceiling fan.
Free parking is available on site. Should there be no more places available there are ample parking opportunities nearby.
When booking please state how many vegans or vegetarians are in your party and if anyone has any form of food allergy.
Soon our roof will hold not only solar panels but also rain collection drains to save water for showers and garden.
Our lodge has been built completely with local materials and by local craftsmen. Also, all food that we prepare and cook on the premises is local produce.
Local ladies will take your washing and bring it back ready to wear for a small price.
Local trades persons are often on site. Those traders that are allowed on our patch agree to a no hassle policy.
In our chillout room you can relax and read one of our books about East African wildlife or culture. A small “take & leave” library is there, where you can leave the book you have finished reading and take one with you.
